Rob Liefeld Praises Deadpool & Wolverine Action Scenes: ‘Best Action Since Winter Soldier’

Deadpool & Wolverine is one of the more highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe films in some time, and according to Deadpool’s creator, the film will live up to the hype.

Taking to Twitter recently, Rob Liefeld threw some high praise on the upcoming film, noting that it has the best action scenes in any Marvel film since Captain America: The Winter Soldier. He shouted out some of the fight scenes before declaring that the film would one of the best comic book movies ever.

“I’ve been telling everyone how great this movie looks and it’s the best action since Winter Soldier,” said Liefeld. “The car fight! Forest fight! The ** fight! It’ll be up there with the best Comic Book Film of all time!”

What do we know about Deadpool & Wolverine?

Deadpool & Wolverine is directed by Shawn Levy from a screenplay written by by Reynolds, Levy Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells. The third installment will also star Hugh Jackman and Jennifer Garner, who are finally coming out of their superhero retirement to reprise their respective iconic Marvel roles as Wolverine and Elektra.

It also features returning cast members Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Rob Delaney as Peter, Stefan Kapicic as Colossus, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio. In addition, The Crown’s Emma Corrin and Succession’s Matthew Macfadyen have also joined the cast to play the roles of Cassandra Nova and TVA agent Paradox, respectively.

Deadpool & Wolverine arrives in theaters on July 26.
